Hyperscaling in AIMMS SC Navigator is a powerful new capability introduced to reduce waiting times when running multiple scenarios simultaneously. Let’s understand in detail!
What is Hyperscaling?
Hyperscaling is a different way of processing multiple scenarios. Instead of processing scenarios one by one (sequentially), Hyperscaling enables you to solve multiple scenarios in parallel, significantly saving time and boosting productivity.
Previously, AIMMS SC Navigator customers had access to just 1 solver at a time, meaning scenarios had to be processed sequentially. With Hyperscaling, that’s all changed. Now, every user has access to 25 solvers working in parallel, ensuring that your scenarios are solved much faster.
But, there is more!
In addition to reducing waiting times, delivering faster results, and increasing user productivity, we have included even more improvements:
- Scenarios are solved in the background, meaning your screen stays active, and you can continue working without waiting for the process to finish. This applies to both single and multiple scenarios.
- Receive a notification or sound alert when your optimization is complete, so you don’t have to keep checking the screen.
Now available for specific modules
Hyperscaling is available for all users working with the Advanced Network Design, Tactical Planning, and Sustainability & Risk modules.
The best part? Hyperscaling is free of charge for all users, so you can immediately take advantage of faster processing times and increased productivity.
The enhancements of solving scenarios in the background and receiving notifications are also available at no extra cost, ensuring a seamless user experience across the board.
